Dangerous Doug Harper, based in Nevada, Missouri, is an Independent Folk Alternative Rock Artist and the creator of the New Folk Subferior Genre. He has been a musician and performing songwriter for 30 years, starting his career with the alternative rock band, the Num Nutz. Doug later became a solo artist and also played as the bass guitarist for a national touring country artist, Marci Mitchell. In addition to his music, Doug now holds a day job at Cottey College as an Assistant Technical Director. He’s been involved with the Music On Square program for 13 years and is also part of the Music Exurbia Project. He contributes to the Local Ear Magazine, hosts the Lunch With Doug Podcast. Doug’s work reflects his passion for music and his commitment to promoting local talent, building a community around music and art. His dedication sets him apart as a unique and influential figure in the music scene.
